Dec-a-Cake

For years my sister Karen and I have talked about taking a cake decorating class.  This year we finally decided to do it!  This week was our first cake assignment.  We were supposed to make a cake decorated with the star tip fill-in technique. The example in the book was a white cake with three flowers.  We decided to do something more festive for Halloween.  My only complaint about the class so far is that they only give you 10 minutes to work on your cake.  Next time I will choose something that takes less time to decorate (this time I had to do most of it at home).

Karen's cute spidey cake.

My work in progress.

Finally! My beautiful candy corn cake. Not bad for my first time!

Cute cake! I've always wanted to learn to decorate cakes. You will have to teach me a thing or two.

You are so talented:)
I am so glad to hear that you are alive and well! your little family is so adorable. It looks like you are enjoying life and learning much needed skills (such as cake decorating). It would be so random, but we should get together and go snowboarding if your ever around when it snows.
